George's Marvellous Medicine

George's grandma is a grizzly, grumpy, selfish old woman with pale brown teeth and a small puckered-up mouth like a dog's butt.Four time a day, she will take a teaspoon full of thick brownish medicine but it does not do her any good. she is always as horrid after she has taken her medicine and George also thinks that she is an old evil witch.

So when George is left alone at home to look after her one morning, it allows him to start making a magic medicine that causes everything to grow big and what he uses to make the medicine is everything that comes in his way. When a whole saucepan of the medicine is gone after being used up by his father to feed the animals, George makes a few more saucepans of it and soon everything turns upside down. Everytime that was fed with the third dose of medicine would shrink. When George's grandma thinks that the third dose of medicine in the bottle looked like tea, you will know what had happened to her so read the whole book to find out what happened.

Esio Trot

Author: Roald Dahl

Esio Trot is a book about a small little tortoise that was owned by a kind lady known as Miss Silver. But the only problem was that Esio Trot or Alfie was too small. Ever since he was bought by Miss Silver. Do you know how this tortoise grew? Miss Silver's neighbour Mr Hoppy had emotions for this lady and wanted to do something useful inorder to impress her. So, he went back to his old engineering bench to make a claw to pick up the 13 ounce tortoise and swap it with another one which was heavier than the previous one.But before he swapped the tortoises, he had told her African rhyme in order for the tortoise to grow.I recommend this book to you all because it is funny and also has a good ending. Praises to Roald Dahl For His Outstanding Books. The call number for this book in the library is: English DAH
